When we are lost

If you were lost,
I would light a path for you.

To show you the way,
To teach you about life.

Anything I could do,
Just to be nearest to you.

My life, heart and soul,
Burn to put bright spots in your way.

You are ever searching,
For a truth I am afraid to find.

But with you by my side,
I search the world for hope.

When I am lost,
You light a path for me.

To keep me on track,
To show me the love I so desparately crave.

Everything you can do,
In order to ensure I know you are there.

Your entire being,
Is put on display to show me the way.

Im always looking in the mirror,
To find just where I went wrong.

Side by side,
We manage to find the strength to press on.

When we are lost,
We lean on each other.

If only to share the light,
That two wayward souls give off in each others presence.
